Taurine is an amino acid and is slightly sulfuric, provides energy and oxygen needs. Taurine also has various other properties. Taurine occurs naturally in meat and not in vegetable protein sources. The body itself can also produce taurine from the amino acids methionine and cysteine. Often both sources are not optimal and taurine supplementation can offer a good outcome. Taurine works closely with zinc and therefore has a synergistic effect with zinc. It is therefore also important to get enough zinc.
